2025 USPS Postal Promotions to Maximize Savings

The USPS has announced no postage increase for January 2025, making it the perfect time to maximize postal savings through their 2025 promotions. These programs not only help reduce postage costs but can also boost response rates. With a wide range of options available, you’re sure to find at least one promotion that fits your needs and helps you save.

2025 USPS Postage Saving Promotions:

1. Integrated Technology Promotion – This program the mailer can select the start date at any point during the 2025 promotion calendar. The start date begins on the first mail date claiming the discount and must run for up to 6 consecutive months during the January 1 – December 31, 2025 calendar year. Start and end dates are linked to a mailer’s Customer Registration ID (CRID) and will be tracked so that the claimed discount can only be used during the eligible 6-month maximum campaign period. The discount is 3% based. This can be done with Voice Assistant, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Mixed Reality, Mobile Shopping, Artificial Intelligence, NFC, and Video. This is a very powerful way to create a longer connection and increase the effectiveness of your message.

2. Tactile, Sensory & Interactive Promotion – This program runs February 1, 2025 – July 31, 202 This year the discount is 4%. Use this program to highlight special finishing technologies that engage the senses. Some ideas are special visual effects, sound, scent, texture/tactile coatings, and even taste. In addition, you can create interactive mail pieces such as pop-ups, infinite folds, or other dimensional aspects. This is a really fun one that can only be done with print marketing.

3. Reply Mail IMBA – This program runs July 1, 2025 – December 31, 2025. This program will provide a 3% or 6% postage discount. IMbA is an automated accounting system for Business Reply Mail (BRM), this promotion encourages mailers to adopt the system for their business reply mail. Enroll in IMbA and use a static barcode with your QBRM to get the 3% discount. Enroll in IMbA and use a serialized barcode with your QBRM to get the 6% discount.

4. First Class Mail Advertising Promotion – This program runs Sept 1, 2025 – December 31, 2025. This discount is 3%. Whether you craft standalone advertisements or incorporate marketing messages onto First-Class Mail pieces, this promotion offers unparalleled opportunity to captivate recipients’ attention and drive engagement. “Mail diversion” messages included on the mail piece will make the mailing ineligible for the promotion discount, regardless of whether or not the mailing includes qualifying treatment, technique, or technology for the promotion.

5. Continuous Contact Promotion – This program runs April 1, 2025 – December 31, 2025. This year the discount increases to 3%. Plan marketing campaigns with multiple touchpoints to adopt a more targeted approach that drives customer behavior. Through this promotion, participants receive a discount for sending follow-up mailings that repeatedly deliver qualifying USPS Marketing Mail® letters and flats to the same address. These repeated mailings must complement or build upon (but not duplicate) the initial mailing.

This year will also have 2 add on promotions that add an additional 1% discount:

1. Informed Delivery – Informed Delivery campaigns must include the required elements below to be eligible for the discount. The elements requires are a ride along image with a call to action, a representative image of the mail piece and a URL that correlates to the campaign. As an add on it can only be used in conjunction with one of the 5 promotions above.

2. Sustainability – Demonstrate the paper used in your mailings is responsibly sourced and sustainability produced by exhibiting an eligible certification. The two certifications are Sustainable Forestry Initiative and Forest Stewardship Council. As an add on it can only be used in conjunction with one of the 5 promotions above.

To maximize your savings, take advantage of as many promotions as you’d like. While each requires registration and reporting after mailing, the savings are well worth the effort.
